Our vision at World International School Cambodia is defined by the underlying need to inspire students to create their unique future and as such students embrace this aspiration through the many and varied community service activities in our community each year. Our approach is one which involves student-driven initiatives, reflection, and connecting meaningful service to students' personal development within the Singapore primary Schools curriculum for grade 1 – 6 and the International General Certificate for Secondary School curriculum for those in grade 7-12.
At WISC, all students are required to take part in age-appropriate, grade level service activities alongside optional co-curricular activities. During the service learning cycle, students will investigate, plan, act and reflect; all of which are critical in developing leaders, thinkers and communicators who can empathise and understand the people and environments around them
In 2018, students , were involved in activities being developed to support the WISC Charitable Foundation sustainable development initiative aimed at helping 190 primary school student at Prek Steung, Prey Takong and Peam Krasob, three primary schools in Preah Ang Keo Village, Dang Peng Cummune, Sre Ambil District, Koh Kong Province, who needed learning materials, clothes and money .
At WISC, students are encouraged to initiate their own activities and take full ownership of the process. This challenges them, but also builds upon their own personal interests and skills.
